Talk to me again

It is simply a very poetic album with the words of the masters. She didn’t succeed, but I’ve never regretted spending so much time and energy on her. It is a pity that real poetry reaches such a narrow group of recipients. But… Maybe time will change that… Maybe some will still have a chance to mature to these beautiful, sensual words…
JS

“Talk to me again” is an album-meeting. Thanks to the music composed by Justyna Steczkowska and the words of the masters of poetry, this album remains an opportunity to get to know sensuality, emotionality, love, passion… Everything that is BETWEEN people who love each other. And it is BETWEEN Paweł Deląg’s declamations, Justyna’s subtle and feminine finesse vocals and the sounds in which these compositions have been wrapped that the time and place for the lovers to meet…

Romeo and Juliet

Music: Justyna Steczkowska

Lyrics: W. Shakespeare tr. St. Baranńczak

If I profane with too rough a hand
Temples of your hand,
This sin is enormous
A pair of lips will smother him tenderly
That burn with guilt
Like two timid pilgrims (…)
When I draw faith from them, they have already led me to paradise
The first step must be taken by a sinner, not a saint
No… so do not move before you have taken a step,
Let your lips be touched
I’ll take the sin off my lips
But now I have sin on my lips
Taken off your lips…
And I won’t skimp on absolution for you either
Give me your sin back
My little little one

Music: Justyna Steczkowska

Words: Excerpts from poems: Maria Pawlikowska Jasnorzewska “Berceuse”, Emil Zagadłowicz “Piersi twe”, Jacek Dobrowolski Józef Czechowicz “In the evening”

My little one
Yellow dandelions are tottering
The shadow of the mountains flows into the valley
Silent Supper
It wades in the twilight current
It’s late

My little darling
It’s hard to get up from love
And even harder than bad news
When you look at me dark
With my eyes
I’m sadder, colder
I’m afraid… And I’m scared

Your eyes are still silent
When you take me in your arms
Calm stars are raining
And the snow is dying somewhere in the snow
In silence our faces faded
And a soul errant with love

Your fragrant breasts
My lips are unconscious
The ground rolls from under your feet

We’re not lonely anymore
Something happened between us
Amazed by you and myself, I melt
Under your lips
You are a ray of sunshine
You light me up with your eyes
Like ice-free water
I’m flowing towards you in a torrent
Once the light penetrates the wave
Sometimes they play with the light
Such wonderful music
The waters with the sun are singing

Talk to me again

Music: Justyna Steczkowska

Lyrics: fragments of a poem by Roman Kołakowski, Kazimierz Przerwa Tetmajer

I look – as if I was touching my thighs, breasts and stomach
With a hand that meets no resistance, a veil,
And your trembling body listens through touch
Unspoken words, only spotted

Talk to me from afar, from afar
Your voice flows on the wave of the air
Like a flower I caress with every word of yours
Talk to me again and again and again

I want you to trace your name with your fingernail
On my bare skin – hard and clear,
So that every letter would be filled with blood,
How you fill all your imagination with yourself.

I look – I look, because I can’t take my eyes off –
How shameless passion you hide into shyness…
And I still believe that I will find my way
To caress that turn love into perfection.

Talk to me for such a conversation
I’ve missed the years, every word you say
In my heart, next to other words, I’ll put
Talk to me again and again and again

I want to drown my consciousness in the immensity of my senses,
To become remembering, to become gazing.
I want to melt our separateness into one body,
So that this wordless conversation could be fulfillment.

Love

Music: Justyna Steczkowska, Paweł Rychlec

Words: Kazimierz Wierzyński

Oh, how I’ll get used to it,
Oh, how I’ll get used to it,
When I embrace you, penetrate you,
My love

What leaves will I pluck for you,
What a pack I’ll sprinkle,
What do you, the One, come to come
Your dearest I will tell you

If I give myself to you completely,
What of myself, all of myself, I will entrust,
In my happiness, in my fear, shy,
I’ve belonged to you for a long time

And I just can’t get used to it
I’m just still afraid
When I get over you, I’ll understand
My love…

We stand on a wild ridge

Music: Justyna Steczkowska, Paweł Rychlec

Words: Excerpts from Endre Ada’s poem tr. Bohdan Zadura

We’re standing on a wild ridge,
The two of us, staring, alone,
Pressed tightly with our bodies,
Silent, without tears and without words
One move and we will fall down.

Strong lips tremble, silence chained
Your long kiss for us
You will speak, we will fall down.

A bloody knot protects us
Until tightly intertwined

I'm a burning wound

Music: Paweł Rychlec

Lyrics: fragment of Endre Ada’s poem tr. Bohdan Zadura

I’m a burning wound that burns
The light torments me and the dew torments me,
I want you, I’m here, I’m stretching out my hands
I want more torment: I want more of you

I want you, I’m here, I’m stretching out my hands
I want more torment: I want more of you

Let your flame burst out, seize it,
Desires, kisses hurt me with stings,
You are my torment, you are tormented
I desire you so much, I desire you so much.

I want to stop you, so I push you away
I put loneliness on the guard of love

You call me my

Music: Justyna Steczkowska

Words: Helena Raszka, Paweł Deląg

My, my, mine
It’s weird, I’m looking into your eyes
And it feels like I’m seeing you for the first time

You talk to me
Mine – and I’m nobody’s –
Like spring, which favors larks and snowdrops,

My, my, mine
You’re like music that makes the stars dance in the sky

Like a star,
Which in the evening gets wet in the thick fog,
And like the sad shadow of a birch
Abandoned on the window
You’ll find my reflection
In all the waters of the world,
But when you dip your hands,
To catch them,
Will leak through your fingers,
Moonlight.

You are the beginning and the end
My, my, mine

What is love

Music: Music: Justyna Steczkowska

Words: Excerpts from poems by Jonasz Kofta/Paweł Deląg

What is love
I don’t know, you’re asking me
I ask you,
Maybe it’s love

Where love lives
I don’t know, in the nooks and crannies
In the intertwining streets, I don’t know,
Keep asking

What is love
Tell
Or don’t say anything,
I want to have you with me
And I don’t know… I do not know
I do not know

And time passes… wind… rain… sun…
Your eyes are still silent,
We wake up.

Forgive

Music: Justyna Steczkowska

Words: Jonasz Kofta

Through my nights inhabited
Always wanting someone’s body
I didn’t have time,
I didn’t invent you… Loved
You don’t have to
Forgive
You don’t have to
Forgive

Through my wheeled roads
Where I look for good harmony with the world
I wasn’t a saint
I’ve crushed more than one flower into the turf

I have misappropriated much of yours
Good in my eyes closed,
Time is not a colleague for a woman
Only to the doorkeepers
Forgive

More than one in me has already died
And more than once I have denied your existence aloud
With a dry throat… My love
My love

In Verona

Music: Justyna Steczkowska

Words: C.K.Norwid

Above the house of the Capulets and the Montagues,
Washed away by rain, moved by thunder,
The gentle eye of blue

He looks at the ruins of hostile castles,
On the broken gates to the gardens,
And throws the star off the top

The cypresses say it’s for Julietta,
And for Romeo, that tear from above the planet
It falls – and the graves leak;

And people talk, and talk learnedly,
That these are not tears, but stones,
And – that no one is waiting for them!
