Femme Fatale
When I was a little girl, my world was theater and music. My parents didn’t let us watch TV (except for “Teleranek” and “Four tank-men and a dog”, or “Civil War”), so the best fun was theatrical activities and… Dreams. I remember one evening when I was returning from church with my dad. It was in Rzeszów… Suddenly, a shooting star appeared in the sky. Dad said, “… My Pearl, think about a dream and you will see that it will come true, because a star is falling from the sky.” And I thought that I would love to sing forever, because in fact I did it every day and I was happy. At that time, in my child’s head, it was not associated with popularity or stardom, but simply with music… The dream came true, although not without a fight for her artistic soul… So, when I could finally afford to record an album outside my trend and make my next dream come true – I recorded “Femme Fatale” as a tribute to all those great and wonderful divas who are hard to match, but always worth trying. Thanks to this album, the concert “Women of the 20th Century” was also created, which I am proud of (although it cost us a lot of nerves), because it was included in the 10 best European concerts at the “Roses of Montreaux” festival.
